Job Description: Job title: Building Engineer – Technical Project Owner (H/F) Role Summary: Lead the technical direction of residential construction projects for senior housing, ensuring quality, sustainability, and regulatory compliance from feasibility to hand‑over. Expectations: Deliver projects that meet architectural excellence, budgetary targets, timelines, and legal requirements while fostering a quality‑first culture over volume. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct feasibility studies and define technical program specifications. - Prepare and secure all administrative authorisations and permits. - Manage architectural and engineering design in partnership with architects and design offices. - Control budgets, schedules, and regulatory compliance throughout the project life‑cycle. - Coordinate all external partners – project engineers, contractors, consulting firms – with precision and pragmatism. - Oversee construction site activities, supervise progress reports, and validate operational hand‑over. - Ensure seamless transition of completed facilities to operations teams for long‑term maintainability. Required Skills: - Proven experience in overseeing construction projects from concept to hand‑over. - Strong technical knowledge of building systems and construction methods. - Familiarity with French building codes, safety, and accessibility regulations for senior residences. - Expertise in budget development, cost control, and schedule management. - Excellent stakeholder coordination and negotiation abilities. - Sound project monitoring and quality assurance capabilities. - Effective communication in both French and English (oral and written). Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Construction Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline. - Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred. - Demonstrated knowledge of French construction regulatory framework (e.g., DIJ, Règlement de sécurité). ---
