Job Description

Job Title: DevOps Engineer - GitHub Role Summary: Internal expert for GitHub Enterprise platform, driving CI/CD automation, secure pipelines, and developer enablement to ensure consistent, secure software delivery. Expectations: Administer and elevate GitHub Enterprise to streamline development processes, ensure governance, and integrate with deployment systems while supporting platform modernization. Key Responsibilities: - Administer GitHub Enterprise org settings, teams, and permission models with focus on security and developer usability. - Optimize repositories, workflows, and CI/CD pipelines leveraging GitHub Actions for reliability and efficiency. - Collaborate with engineering leadership to integrate GitHub with container registries and deployment automation. - Develop documentation, best practices, and training resources to promote consistent workflows. - Monitor and implement GitHub feature updates, security patches, and AI tooling improvements. - Migrate pipelines and repositories from Azure DevOps to GitHub. Required Skills: - GitHub Enterprise (or GitLab, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket) administration. - CI/CD pipeline design and automation using GitHub Actions or similar tools. - Branching strategies, workflow governance, and permission model design. - Scripting and workflow automation (e.g., YAML, shell, Python). - Cross-functional collaboration and technical communication with developers and leadership. Required Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Certifications in GitHub, DevOps, or automation tooling preferred.
