Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Role Summary: Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure across cloud, on‑premise, and hybrid environments. Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure high availability, performance, and compliance of mission‑critical systems.
Experience Requirements: 5–7 years in infrastructure, systems, cloud, or platform engineering. Proven track record administering Linux and/or Windows Server environments. Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure as code (IaC).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available infrastructure solutions.
- Manage compute, storage, networking, and virtualization resources across cloud and on‑premises environments.
- Develop and apply IaC scripts using Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; establish alerting and escalation procedures.
- Respond to incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement lasting fixes.
- Implement backup, disaster‑recovery, and high‑availability strategies.
- Enforce security best practices: access control, encryption, and system hardening.
- Collaborate on application delivery pipelines with DevOps and security teams; support CI/CD integration.
- Document architecture diagrams, configuration baselines, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in on‑call rotation and 24/7 incident response as required.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Linux/Windows Server administration.
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs).
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- IaC and automation tools (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation).
- Scripting in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Monitoring, alerting, and incident‑response tools.
- Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA).
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant cloud or infrastructure certifications (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, VMware Certified Professional, or equivalent).
