Job title: Data Scientist
Role Summary:
Lead the design, development, and production of AI models (LLMs, NLP, predictive, recommendation systems) while driving end‑to‑end data pipelines, governance, and analytics across the organization.
Expectations:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in AI model development, industrialization, and monitoring.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Applied Maths, or Data (Bac+5+).
- Strong technical rigor, curiosity, and proactive problem‑solving.
- Ability to mentor junior analysts/scientists and influence cross‑functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and industrialize AI models balancing performance, robustness, and cost.
2. Deploy, monitor, and maintain scalable, reliable production AI services (MLOps, CI/CD, observability).
3. Build and maintain end‑to‑end data architecture: ingestion, processing, storage, quality, traceability, security.
4. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to translate business needs into data solutions, define KPIs, and deliver actionable insights.
5. Conduct experimental analytics (A/B tests, segmentation, behavioral modeling) to inform strategy.
6. Champion data literacy by creating user‑friendly dashboards and tools for non‑technical stakeholders.
7. Promote rigorous documentation, continuous improvement, and a culture of technical excellence within the data team.
Required Skills:
- Machine Learning & AI: LLMs, NLP, predictive modeling, recommendation engines.
- MLOps: Model versioning, deployment pipelines, CI/CD, monitoring, observability.
- Data Engineering: ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, etc.).
- Cloud & Cost Management: Cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure), cost optimisation, cloud‑native services.
- Programming: Python, SQL; familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit‑Learn).
- Experimental Design: A/B testing, statistical inference, segmentation analytics.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field (Bac+5 minimum).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TensorFlow Developer, AWS Certified ML, Azure AI Engineer) preferred but not mandatory.
