Job Description
Job Title: Director of Sales Role Summary: Lead and manage all sales functions for a resort, driving revenue growth, developing strategic sales plans, and overseeing a high‑performing team. Expectations: Deliver on annual revenue targets, execute a market‑aligned sales strategy, nurture key client relationships, and uphold brand standards while fostering continuous team development. Key Responsibilities: - Hire, train, coach, and evaluate sales associates. - Create and implement strategic sales plans across all business segments. - Analyze market data and internal performance metrics to inform tactics. - Design customer‑specific proposals that increase revenue share. - Monitor team performance against the annual marketing plan and correct shortfalls. - Negotiate terms and close sales to meet or exceed goals. - Maintain relationships with key accounts to boost satisfaction and revenue. - Prepare and maintain an annual marketing plan with measurable initiatives. - Deliver persuasive presentations (oral and written) to internal stakeholders and prospects. - Conduct local travel for client meetings, hotel promotion, and competitive analysis. - Adhere to sustainability guidelines and practices. Required Skills: - Strong leadership, team development, and coaching abilities. - Proven sales strategy design and execution in a hospitality setting. - Advanced negotiation and closing skills. - Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills. - Proficiency with Excel, Word, Delphi, and Access database tools. - Ability to analyze and leverage data to drive business decisions. - Knowledge of Marriott brand standards and CITY platform. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field. - Advanced coursework or degree preferred. - Demonstrated Marriott hospitality sales experience and CITY system knowledge. ---
