**Job Title**
Data, AI and Finance Implementation Business Analyst
**Role Summary**
Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of a strategic finance platform migration (Xero → Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) while simultaneously steering the Data & AI roadmap. Serve as the nexus between finance stakeholders, data engineers, external implementation partners, and internal transformation teams to ensure seamless integration, robust data models, and AI‑driven processes. Champion change management, documentation, and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
**Expectations**
- Deliver a fully functional Business Central system aligned with current‑state business processes and future‑state auditability.
- Build and maintain a prioritized AI & Data implementation backlog, ensuring scope discipline across multiple work streams.
- Safeguard data integrity and governance during migration, including rigorous validation, cleansing, and lineage documentation.
- Facilitate clear, concise requirements artefacts for configuration and development teams.
- Provide ongoing status reporting, risk mitigation, and escalation management to senior leadership.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead requirements workshops with finance and business stakeholders for the Business Central migration and AI/Data projects.
- Map current Xero processes (AP, AR, GL, reporting) to future‑state Business Central workflows, identifying gaps and opportunities.
- Design and oversee data migration strategy, including data mapping, cleansing rules, validation scripts, and control frameworks.
- Create and maintain detailed business rules, workflows, and dependency documentation.
- Prioritize and manage the AI & Data backlog, translating business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and configurable outputs.
- Collaborate with data engineers to design data cubes, Power BI models, calculated columns, and measures for financial analytics.
- Partner with the Practice Engine integration architecture team to define data flows, transformations, and integration points.
- Manage change and stakeholder engagement, ensuring transparent communication of timelines, scope, and capabilities.
- Provide ad‑hoc support for M&A integration, entity mapping, and process planning for new acquisitions.
- Participate in vendor workshops to challenge and shape AI‑driven system setups.
**Required Skills**
- Proven experience leading ERP implementations (Xero → Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred).
- Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, and specification writing skills.
- Hands‑on experience collaborating with data engineers on data modeling, integration, and migration.
- Knowledge of financial processes (AP, AR, GL, reporting) and control frameworks.
- Familiarity with Power BI, data cube design, and analytical data modeling.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- Project management competency, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and scope control.
- Ability to produce clear, organized documentation and executive summaries.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analysis, Information Systems, or related field.
- Professional certification such as CBAP, PMI‑PBA, or Prince2® (preferred).
- Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or ERP implementation certifications (advantage).
