Job Description
**Job Title** Production Manager – Aerospace (Responsable Production H/F) **Role Summary** Lead and optimize all production activities at an aerospace manufacturing site. Ensure delivery of client orders within cost, quality, and schedule constraints while driving continuous improvement and effective cross‑functional collaboration. **Expectations** - Organize, plan, and monitor production to meet financial, quality, and timing targets. - Align plant capacity with clients’ demand plans and internal commercial objectives. - Maintain real‑time oversight of production performance indicators across manufacturing, quality, ordering, methods, procurement, and safety. - Deliver on-order volume, ensuring adherence to agreed schedules. - Develop, execute, and report on recovery plans with clients when needed. - Identify and implement key improvement levers to enhance overall productivity. - Ensure strict compliance with manufacturing procedures and standards. - Oversee cross‑functional operational teams (production, logistics, maintenance, IT, warehousing). - Communicate objectives, results, and corrective actions to senior production leaders. - Contribute to investment needs analysis, project validation, and integration of new initiatives into production. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Conduct annual capacity planning against client load plans and commercial requirements. 2. Implement recruitment, training, outsourcing, or staffing strategies to meet capacity. 3. Monitor and adjust production flow, including fabrication, quality checks, scheduling, and materials flow. 4. Track KPIs (e.g., on‑time delivery, OEE, defect rates) and adjust processes accordingly. 5. Manage order fulfillment against contract terms, addressing variations and reporting status. 6. Lead client recovery planning, including timeline coordination and performance reporting. 7. Identify improvement opportunities, design interventions, and integrate solutions into daily operations. 8. Enforce adherence to safety, quality, and manufacturing standards. 9. Supervise cross‑functional teams, ensuring clear communication and collaborative problem solving. 10. Advise on investment requirements, oversee project implementation, and validate integration into production workflows. **Required Skills** - Production & operations management in a high‑volume aerospace environment. - Capacity planning and load scheduling. - KPI development & performance monitoring. - Lean manufacturing/continuous improvement methodologies. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Leadership and team management skills. - Effective communication with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional partners. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight delivery deadlines. - Proficiency with ERP/production planning software (e.g., SAP, MES). - Knowledge of safety and quality standards specific to aerospace manufacturing (e.g., AS9100). **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or related discipline. - Industrial or production management certifications (Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, APICS CSCP, etc.) preferred. - Proven experience in an aerospace or high‑precision manufacturing setting. ---
