**Job title:** Systems Testing/QA Specialist – Intermediate
**Role Summary:**
Perform both manual and automated testing of high‑volume online data‑collection applications, data‑warehouse/BI solutions, and accessible web portals for public‑sector clients. Ensure compliance with WCAG AA standards, validate ETL processes, and support full SDLC testing cycles in Agile and Waterfall environments.
**Expactations:**
- 3‑5 years of QA experience on large‑scale, multi‑user (5,000+ users) applications.
- Proven ability to design, execute, and document test cases, scripts, data, and defect reports.
- Strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams and adherence to strict project timelines.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and maintain test plans, cases, scripts, and test data for functional, regression, integration, and UAT cycles.
- Execute automated tests using UFT/QuickTest Pro, HP Quality Center, Azure DevOps, and support manual testing as needed.
- Perform accessibility testing to WCAG AA level, using screen readers (JAWS, NVDA) and compliance tools.
- Validate data warehouse, data mart, and ETL processes; test BI reports in Cognos and Power BI.
- Write and run SQL queries against Oracle/SQL Server databases to verify data integrity across 3/N‑tier applications.
- Track defects and status in HPQC, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla; ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in test cycle planning, risk assessment, and documentation of test results.
- Support Agile sprint activities and Waterfall phase gate reviews.
**Required Skills:**
- Test automation: UFT/QuickTest Pro (v10+), HP Quality Center, Azure DevOps.
- Manual testing, regression, integration, and UAT.
- SQL scripting; experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server.
- Accessibility testing (WCAG AA, JAWS, NVDA, Compliance Sheriff).
- BI and data‑warehouse testing: Cognos, Power BI, ETL tools (Informatica, SSIS).
- Data formats: XML, CSV, JSON, Excel.
- Basic .NET/ASP.NET (C#, MVC, Web Forms) knowledge preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Relevant QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB, HP/UFT, Certified Agile Tester) are preferred but not mandatory.
