Job Description
**Job Title**: Senior Software Developer **Role Summary**: Design, develop, and ship high‑quality, scalable web and backend services that enable real‑time asset decision‑making for remote engineering infrastructure. Lead end‑to‑end ownership of features, mentor peers, and drive engineering standards within a dynamic, startup‑style environment. **Expectations**: Deliver reliable, customer‑focused code; maintain ownership of commitments; collaborate cross‑functionally; adapt quickly to changing priorities; communicate effectively; uphold security and quality principles; continuously improve systems and mentor junior teammates. **Key Responsibilities**: - Build and ship new functionality that supports integrity decisions for remote engineering assets. - Own feature development from concept through production release, ensuring clean, maintainable code. - Design, implement, and maintain high‑quality APIs and services. - Conduct code reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and raise engineering standards. - Partner with product, design, and other engineering teams to translate customer needs into scoped technical solutions. - Mentor and pair with other developers, providing guidance and feedback. - Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release processes. - Apply observability and quality tools (e.g., Sentry, New Relic, PostHog) to monitor and improve product health. - Address security practices and, where feasible, integrate AI/ML capabilities. **Required Skills**: - 3+ years professional software development experience. - Strong JavaScript proficiency; TypeScript experience preferred or equivalent expertise in Go, C#, Java, etc. - Experience building modern web applications and/or backend services. - Proven ability to design, build, and integrate scalable APIs. - Knowledge of application design principles for maintainability and scalability. - Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB, etc.) and / or SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB). - Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS). - Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and release processes. - Understanding of observability tools (Sentry, New Relic, PostHog) and software security principles. - Bonus: Exposure to AI/ML technologies. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
