Contracts Specialist – IT Category
**Role Summary**
Manage the full lifecycle of IT contracts, including sourcing, negotiation, performance monitoring, and renewal for hardware, software, cloud services, and consulting. Align procurement activities with business objectives, mitigate supply‑chain risk, and ensure compliance with legal, cybersecurity, and procurement regulations.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with IT and real‑estate stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and vendor performance.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop measurable service‑level agreements (SLAs) with IT & Real Estate units.
- Plan, approve, and execute sourcing strategies for assigned business areas.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for hardware, software, SaaS, cloud, and consulting services; manage renewals, amendments, and performance reviews.
- Ensure contracts comply with corporate policies, Canadian procurement regulations, legal standards, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Lead RFP/RFQ/RFI processes, vendor selection, and evaluation for IT purchases.
- Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify cost‑saving opportunities and innovation.
- Manage relationships with key technology vendors and service providers.
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and SLAs; support onboarding/offboarding.
- Track contract expirations and maintain accurate records in contract‑management systems.
- Identify and mitigate supplier‑related risks; serve as a subject‑matter expert in supplier management best practices.
- Collaborate with IT, Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into sourcing strategies, contract terms, and purchase decisions.
- Support delivery of orientation and training programs to enhance supply‑chain understanding within business areas.
**Required Skills**
- Contract negotiation and drafting.
- IT procurement, including hardware, software licensing, SaaS, and cloud services.
- Vendor management and performance monitoring.
- Market analysis, benchmarking, and cost‑savings identification.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
- Proficiency with ERP/procurement platforms (D365, SAP, Ivalua, etc.).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT/software procurement and contract management.
- Relevant professional certification (CPSM, SCMP, IACCM, CIPS) is an asset.
