Job Description

**Job Title:** Linux System Administrator **Role Summary:** Senior-level role managing enterprise Linux environments across on-premise and AWS. Responsibilities include system design, security, automation, cloud migration, and collaboration with infrastructure and application teams. Requires advanced technical expertise and problem-solving for complex production systems. **Expectations:** Lead enterprise Linux infrastructure lifecycle, ensure compliance, implement automation, and resolve critical issues. Ability to work on-call and support hybrid cloud environments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Linux (RHEL/CentOS) systems in on-premise and AWS environments. - Conduct system upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and lifecycle management. - Secure Linux infrastructure via hardening, access controls, and compliance with NERC/CIP standards. - Automate workflows using Bash, Python, Ansible for system reliability and efficiency. - Collaborate with cloud teams to migrate UNIX/Linux workloads to AWS and integrate with Nutanix virtualization/storage platforms. - Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and optimize enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, SAP HANA). - Develop operational procedures, documentation, and coordinate with managed service providers. - Participate in on-call rotations for critical system support. **Required Skills:** - 8+ years Linux/UNIX system administration in enterprise environments. - Proficiency in Linux OS performance tuning, troubleshooting, and patch management. - Hands-on AWS/Linux hybrid cloud deployment and management. - Experience with Nutanix or comparable virtualization/storage platforms. - Scripting/automation expertise (Bash, Python, Ansible). - Knowledge of Linux security frameworks and compliance standards (NERC/CIP). - Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix) and ITIL-based processes (ServiceNow). - Strong cross-functional collaboration and technical documentation skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. - AWS Certified Solutions Architect or ITIL certification preferred. - NERC/CIP certification or similar compliance training required.
