**Job Title:** Senior AWS Architect
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and govern scalable, secure, and highly available AWS solutions for enterprise‑level applications. Lead cloud strategy, multi‑account governance, security guardrails, and operational excellence while guiding development and operations teams.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on AWS architecture experience.
- Proven ability to create and enforce cloud governance, security, and cost‑optimization practices.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design end‑to‑end AWS architectures for large‑scale workloads.
- Define multi‑account strategies using AWS Organizations and Control Tower.
- Build high‑availability, fault‑tolerant, and scalable solutions (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN).
- Develop architecture blueprints, reference designs, and design patterns.
- Implement security controls: IAM policies, security groups, NACLs, KMS, TLS, secrets management.
- Enforce governance, compliance (ISO, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS) and security guardrails.
- Standardize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and environment setup across dev/test/prod.
- Design and maintain cloud‑native CI/CD pipelines.
- Apply the AWS Well‑Architected Framework for cost, security, reliability, and performance.
- Conduct architecture reviews, performance tuning, and FinOps cost optimization.
- Serve as technical advisor to development and operations teams.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise with core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, Route 53, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS).
- Advanced AWS networking and security knowledge.
- Experience with high‑availability and disaster‑recovery architectures.
- Design of landing zones and large‑scale cloud migrations.
- Proficiency in IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of data quality, metadata, performance tuning.
- Familiarity with SAP and Salesforce data sources (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Associate (preferred).
