Job Description
**Job Title:** Security Administrator **Role Summary** Safeguard organizational information systems, networks, and data by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats. Maintain compliance with security policies and standards through proactive threat detection, incident response, and access control management. **Expectations** Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a Security Administrator or similar role. Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, ISC2 SSCP) required within 12 months of hire. **Key Responsibilities** - Monitor and analyze network traffic, logs, and alerts for security incidents and vulnerabilities. - Implement and manage security tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, antivirus, firewall). - Investigate security breaches, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. - Administer user access rights and entitlements across platforms, enforcing least-privilege principles. - Coordinate penetration tests, audits, and remediation tracking with internal and third-party teams. - Oversee patch management processes to ensure timely application of security updates. - Document incidents and resolutions to improve organizational security posture. - Collaborate with technology teams to refine threat detection and response strategies. **Required Skills** - Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and technologies. - Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and patch management tools. - Proficiency in incident response, vulnerability management, and network security. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. - Preferred certifications: CompTIA Security+, ISC2 SSCP, Microsoft SC-200/SC-900, GIAC GSEC (enrollment required if not held at hire).
