Job Description
**Job Title** Senior Product Designer **Role Summary** Lead the end‑to‑end product design for an AI platform delivering evidence‑based support to neurodivergent families. Collaborate with senior leadership to shape strategy, conduct rigorous user research, and deliver pixel‑perfect mobile and web experiences that meet subscription and retention goals. **Expectations** - Own subscription and retention key performance indicators. - Lead continuous discovery (3+ interviews weekly, diary studies, usability tests, analytics) with users and partner organisations. - Run experiments to validate desirability, usability, feasibility, business viability, and ethical considerations. - Translate research insights into actionable product design decisions. - Maintain and evolve a cohesive design system, component library, and brand book. - Provide detailed acceptance criteria for engineering hand‑offs. **Key Responsibilities** - Conceptualise and design full‑flow user experiences for web and mobile (iOS & Android). - Conduct and analyse user interviews, usability testing, and session replays. - Collaborate with tech and product teams to define product strategy and backlog priorities. - Prototype interactive solutions and iteratively refine designs based on user feedback and metrics. - Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG AA or higher) and consider stressed neurodivergent user needs. - Document design specifications, style guides, and component libraries. - Mentor junior designers (if applicable) and promote design quality across the organisation. **Required Skills** - Deep understanding of behavioural psychology and its application to product design. - Proven senior product design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating user‑research to shipped product flow. - Expertise in mobile app design (iOS & Android) and responsive web interfaces. - Advanced proficiency in Figma (design systems, components, prototyping). - Strong user research capabilities: interviews, usability testing, analytics interpretation. - Ability to thrive independently in an early‑stage, ambiguous environment. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. **Nice to Have** - Experience in regulated health/medical device / digital health domains. - Accessibility expertise (WCAG AA, designing for neurodivergent users). - Startup experience and familiarity with continuous discovery frameworks. - Knowledge of AI/LLM product design practices. **Required Education & Certifications** - Design, HCI, Psychology, or related degree (or equivalent professional experience). - Right to work in the UK. - Minimum availability of 2 days per week at a central office for collaboration.
