Job Description: Job Title: Machine Learning Internship, Manipulation Role Summary: Intern develops and refines machine‑learning models for humanoid robot manipulation, collaborating with the ML team to build and maintain infrastructure and evaluate real‑world performance. Expectations: - Apply deep‑learning frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow) to create robotics models. - Deploy and monitor models in real‑world robotic tasks, diagnosing performance issues. - Design scalable cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) for training, data management, and inference. - Contribute to the Persona ML software stack supporting manipulation, navigation, locomotion, and perception. - Communicate findings and progress to cross‑functional teams. Key Responsibilities: - Build and iterate behavior‑cloning and reinforcement‑learning pipelines for manipulation tasks. - Integrate world‑model architectures and other state‑of‑the‑art research. - Engineer robust, production‑ready code and document systems. - Collaborate on research experiments, collect datasets, and analyze results. - Liaise with hardware and software teams to align model requirements with robotic capabilities. Required Skills: - Strong programming in Python; proficiency with deep‑learning libraries. - Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Knowledge of embodied AI challenges: model deployment, latency, safety, and adaptability. - Ability to write clean, maintainable code and use version control. - Problem‑solving mindset, thrives in fast‑paced, ambiguous settings. Required Education & Certifications: - Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, or related engineering field. - Advanced degrees (Master’s or Ph.D.) and published research are considered a bonus.
