Job Description
**Job Title:** Cyber Security Consultant **Role Summary:** A senior cybersecurity professional on a 12‑month contract, responsible for strengthening the organization’s cybersecurity maturity. The role blends strategic planning, governance, risk management, architectural design, and executive‑level advisory to shape an enterprise‑wide security posture. **Expectations:** - Deliver comprehensive cybersecurity strategy and architecture aligned with business objectives. - Translate complex security risks into actionable initiatives. - Drive acceptance and implementation of security measures across technical teams and senior leadership. - Maintain ongoing security governance, awareness, and incident response capabilities. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Security Governance & Oversight** – Interpret and enforce security policies, deliver awareness training, monitor emerging threats. 2. **Risk & Incident Management** – Conduct Threat Risk Assessments, lead incident response and remediation guidance. 3. **Architecture & Design** – Assess security requirements for IT solutions, design distributed cybersecurity architectures, support procurement. 4. **Strategic Advisory & Collaboration** – Provide cyber‑security counsel to multiple business units, present roadmaps, governance models, and vision documents to executives. **Required Skills:** - Strategic cyber‑security planning and risk‑management expertise. - Proven experience in solutions and cybersecurity architecture for complex, distributed environments. - Proficient with industry frameworks (ISO 27002:2022, NIST, etc.) and zero‑trust concepts. - Ability to develop and lead formal architecture projects with measurable outcomes. - Strong communication skills for executive‑level briefings and cross‑functional collaboration. - Knowledge of DevSecOps pipelines, security automation, and governance integrations. - Capacity to work 100 % onsite at the designated office location. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in a technical field **or** equivalent work experience (asset). - Certified in TOGAF or SABSA (asset). - Completion of at least one formal project‑management course (asset). - Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are additional strengths but not mandatory.
