**Job Title** Director, IT Risk Management (Contract) **Role Summary** Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s technology risk management strategy in a Canadian brokerage environment. Drive risk, audit, and business continuity programs, oversee vendor relationships, and coordinate with global technology and business stakeholders to ensure compliance, effective controls, and continuous improvement of the operational risk framework. **Expectations** - Hold current Canadian work authorization. - Demonstrate 7+ years of experience in risk management, audit, or internal control. - Manage complex, cross‑functional projects and scale processes with growth. - Communicate clearly in written and verbal formats; influence and collaborate across all organizational levels. - Act with accountability and initiative, ensuring timely completion of projects and risk initiatives. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and maintain a comprehensive view of technology risk posture, including business continuity and data protection. - Provide subject‑matter expertise to technology process owners and consult with senior management on risk assessments. - Ensure compliance of controls with regulatory, legal, and industry standards; oversee control testing and remediation. - Lead global programs to represent technology operations, enhance risk frameworks, and drive lifecycle improvements. - Champion data privacy: conduct Privacy Impact Assessments, establish DPO review processes, and build awareness of data protection requirements. - Support disaster recovery and BCP: develop plans, coordinate logistics, test, and lead incident responses. - Chair change management meetings, maintain ServiceNow configuration database, and manage vendor oversight. - Facilitate collaboration across data protection owners, cyber security, and technology risk teams. **Required Skills** - Advanced knowledge of technology‑risk disciplines (cyber, operational, data privacy). - Strong audit and risk program management experience. - Expertise in regulatory obligations for Canadian brokerage and clearing firms. - Proven project and program management, including planning, monitoring, and resource control. - Effective communication, influencing, and presentation skills. - Leadership in vendor management and cross‑functional stakeholder engagement. **Required Education & Certifications** - University degree or equivalent professional experience. - Professional designation or certification in audit, risk management, or internal control (e.g., ISACA).
