Job Description
Job Title Senior Software Engineer – Gameplay (Animation) – Battlefield Role Summary Lead the design, implementation, and refinement of gameplay animation systems for a first‑person shooter in a live service environment. Work closely with animators, designers, and other engineers to integrate animation with gameplay mechanics, ensuring high quality and performance across PC and console platforms. Expectations - Mentor junior team members and foster technical growth. - Advocate best practices, code quality, and continuous improvement. - Deliver polished features within tight development schedules. - Collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop gameplay animation subsystems in C++. - Integrate animation pipelines with gameplay logic and live service infrastructure. - Optimize performance and maintainability of animation code. - Engage with animators, designers, and gameplay engineers to define requirements and resolve integration challenges. - Participate in code reviews, testing, and iterative refinement of game features. - Document systems, procedures, and best practices. Required Skills - Advanced C++ programming (8+ years). - Proven experience shiping games on PC and/or console. - Familiarity with live service systems and feature lifecycle. - Strong collaboration and communication with animators, designers, and engineers. - Mentoring mindset and commitment to quality. - Ability to translate design intent into robust, reusable code. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. ---
