Job Description
Job Title: Business Development Manager – M&E Maintenance Role Summary: A strategic business development professional responsible for identifying and securing new M&E maintenance contracts and expanding existing service relationships across England & Wales. Drives revenue growth, builds client relationships, and collaborates with technical and service teams to deliver tailored solutions. Expectations: Achieve set sales targets and quarterly bonus criteria. Deliver measurable business growth, maintain high client satisfaction, and represent the company at industry events. Key Responsibilities: - Prospect and identify new business opportunities within the M&E maintenance sector. - Build and nurture relationships with key decision‑makers in prospective client organizations. - Develop and present compelling proposals, responses to tenders, and solutions packages. - Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure profitable agreements. - Collaborate with service, engineering, and operations teams to ensure feasibility and delivery capability. - Conduct market analysis, track competitors, and forecast emerging trends. - Prepare and present regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and performance reviews to senior management. - Attend industry conferences, networking events, and customer meetings to promote brand visibility. Required Skills: - Strong sales and negotiation skills. - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities. - Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships. - Knowledge of M&E maintenance markets, technical terminology, and contracting processes. - Analytical mindset with proficiency in market research and forecasting. - Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and able to work independently. - Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. - Relevant industry certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical maintenance) preferred but not mandatory.
