Senior Analyst – Investment Data
**Role Summary**
Provide data‑management and governance support for a high‑profile private equity portfolio. Drive data collection, mastering, quality, and analytics across cloud platforms to deliver actionable insights to investment teams.
**Expectations**
* Own end‑to‑end data pipelines for investment data
* Translate complex analytics into clear, senior‑level narratives
* Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are met
**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to refine requirements, data models, source‑to‑target mappings, and data quality rules.
- Design, develop, and maintain data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes and scalable pipelines in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Build and update interactive dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Apply advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI techniques—predictive modeling, anomaly detection, and scenario analysis—to investment and portfolio data.
- Integrate alternative and unstructured data (news, social media, ESG) to enrich investment insights.
- Track key performance indicators and report trends to senior stakeholders.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data exceptions and quality issues promptly.
**Required Skills**
- Programming: Python, SQL, API integration.
- ETL tooling and best practices.
- Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
- Cloud data engineering (Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, GCP Dataflow).
- Machine learning & analytics techniques for financial data.
- Strong understanding of private‑equity data structures (GP/LP).
- Data governance principles and security practices.
- Ability to communicate technical findings to non‑technical audiences.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Finance, or related field.
- Certifications: Python (certified), Power BI (certified).
- 3–5 years of experience in data analysis within an asset‑owner or investment‑management environment.
