Job Description
Job Title: Accounting Internship (Summer 2026) Role Summary A temporary internship providing hands‑on accounting support for daily transactions, record‑keeping, and basic financial reporting within a construction‑focused organization. Expectations * Enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Accounting or related business field. * Complete a 10‑12 week summer internship with full‑time participation. * Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely work. * Participate in scholarship award program upon successful completion of successive internship years. Key Responsibilities * Scan, audit, and input accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, receivables, and cash records. * Prepare and file journal entries and month‑end reports. * Type and manage miscellaneous correspondence and word‑processing documents. * Maintain and update filing systems to keep records current. * Answer telephone calls and provide administrative support to staff as needed. * Assist in basic reconciliation tasks and data preparation for month‑end close. Required Skills * Strong quantitative and analytical abilities. * Excellent organization and attention to detail. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Problem‑solving skills with a meticulous approach. * Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently. * Clear written and verbal communication. Required Education & Certifications * Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Accounting (or closely related field). * No additional certifications required.
