**Job Title** Head of Supply Chain **Role Summary** Lead and develop the purchasing and supply‑chain function within an SME manufacturing organization. Drive strategic improvement, operational excellence, and supplier performance while mentoring a growing team and collaborating across operations, engineering, finance, and leadership. **Expectations** - Deliver secure, cost‑effective, high‑quality supply continuity. - Implement process, system, and planning improvements to achieve industry‑leading performance. - Build and coach a relatively new purchasing team toward high capability and confidence. - Proactively engage in day‑to‑day operations while maintaining strategic focus. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead, coach, and develop the Purchasing team. - Oversee procurement, stores, and future group‑wide supply‑chain integration. - Drive process, system, planning accuracy, and supplier performance improvements. - Manage a broad commodity base and large multi‑source supplier network. - Build strong relationships with operational, engineering, finance, and senior leadership stakeholders. - Balance strategic priorities with active operational involvement. **Required Skills** - Proven people‑management experience. - SME manufacturing experience, building in‑house products with varied supplier bases. - Stakeholder management, communication, and leadership presence. - Hands‑on, proactive, and comfortable driving day‑to‑day operations. - Strategic mindset with a record of implementing improvements. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field. - Professional certification such as CPSM, CSCP, or APICS preferred.
