Job Title: Futures Operations Clearing Senior Analyst
Role Summary
Responsible for the end‑to‑end lifecycle of physically settled London Metal Exchange (LME) warrants, including matching, monitoring, post‑expiry processes, and inventory reconciliation. Acts as the primary liaison between clients, internal trading desks, and regulatory teams to ensure accurate trade capture, compliance, and client satisfaction across global operations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage LME physical warrant positions: monitor, match, and reconcile all posts to safeguard against discrepancies.<br>
2. Execute full lifecycle of LME trades: approval, settlement, cancellation, re‑warranting, and post‑expiry settlement documentation.<br>
3. Coordinate with clients and internal teams to meet Macquarie’s warrant obligations, ensuring timely receipt and payment processing.<br>
4. Monitor expiring contracts (cash and physically settled), oversee roll‑over procedures, and handle expiry communications.<br>
5. Lead root‑cause analysis for any clearing exceptions, implement corrective actions, and document lessons for process improvement.<br>
6. Participate in regulatory change initiatives, incorporating new requirements into existing workflows and training teams.<br>
7. Support client onboarding by facilitating trade capture, documentation, and training on settlement processes.
Required Skills
* 2+ years’ experience with London Metal Exchange (LME) warrants and physical settlement.<br>
* Strong understanding of full exchange‑traded derivatives trade lifecycle.
* Proficiency with commodity support systems and trading platforms (e.g., ICE Europe, Nasdaq Commodities, ECC).
* Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to resolve complex trade discrepancies.<br>
* Effective communication and relationship‑building skills across multiple time zones.<br>
* Adaptive, innovative mindset with a focus on process improvement and regulatory compliance.
* Self‑motivated, resilient, and teamwork‑oriented.
Required Education & Certifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.<br>
* Professional certification preferred: Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) credentials, or equivalent qualifications in commodity trading and clearing.
