Job Description

**Job Title:** Power BI Developer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that translate business requirements into actionable insights. Collaborate with stakeholders to capture reporting needs, perform data modeling, test deliverables, and support post‑deployment transition to maintenance operations. **Expactations:** - Available for onsite or remote work as required, initially traveling at the engagement onset. - Minimum 4 years of hands‑on Power BI development experience. - Proficiency in Power BI Report Builder, SQL, and basic Databricks (SQL/Python). - Familiarity with ETL tools such as Databricks or Prophecy. - English language fluency. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports aligned with business rules. - Gather and document reporting requirements from clients, ensuring accuracy of business logic. - Create unit test plans, scripts, and sample data for Power BI artifacts. - Build and validate reports using Databricks data sources, following performance and IT standards. - Resolve report defects identified during integration and acceptance testing. - Transfer completed code to the maintenance team post‑release. - Maintain report documentation, including design specifications and data lineage. - Communicate progress, risks, and issues to project leads or managers. **Required Skills:** - Advanced Power BI development and Report Builder. - SQL proficiency and foundational data modeling concepts. - Awareness of ETL processes and experience with Databricks or similar platforms. - Ability to conduct unit testing and troubleshoot Power BI issues. - Strong written and verbal communication in English. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst or similar are preferred.
