Job Description
Job title: Software Engineer – Full‑Stack Systems (Robotics & Infrastructure) Role Summary: Deliver end‑to‑end software solutions for the ZiGGY platform, covering onboard compute, communications, cloud services, mobile interfaces, payment flows, and safety logic. Drive integration across embedded systems, backend services, and user applications to enable autonomous fleet operations. Expactations: Deliver robust, safe, and scalable software components that meet real‑world constraints. Collaborate cross‑functionally with hardware, DevOps, and product teams. Proactively troubleshoot issues, support remote diagnostics, and facilitate continuous improvement of the software stack. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain software for ZiGGY internal computers (embedded firmware and control logic). - Design and implement state machines, safety interlocks, and control algorithms for robotic units. - Build and integrate communication channels between onboard systems, cloud services, and mobile apps. - Develop backend services for fleet monitoring, management, and data analytics. - Implement payment processing flows and transaction handling within the platform. - Support mobile app features and user interactions that depend on backend and onboard services. - Provide logging, diagnostics, and remote firmware updates to support field operations. - Ensure secure, reliable network communication and API design. - Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose optimizations. Required Skills: - Proficiency in system‑level programming (C/C++, Rust, or similar) for embedded platforms. - Experience with backend development (Node.js, Python, Go, or Java) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Strong knowledge of networking, secure communications (TLS, MQTT, REST), and API design. - Familiarity with robotics, automotive, or aerospace software domains preferred. - Solid debugging, profiling, and testing skills across embedded and cloud contexts. - Ability to work with real‑world constraints and physical hardware integration. - Excellent written and verbal communication, and collaborative mindset. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical field. - Certifications in embedded systems, cybersecurity, or cloud platforms are a plus.
