Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Back-End Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and evolve core platform services for a marketing automation product. Drive architectural decisions, ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of data‑intensive systems while collaborating in a fast‑paced, AI‑enhanced development environment. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality, performant backend code that meets product goals. - Apply sound engineering judgment to make pragmatic technical choices. - Maintain a strong focus on testing, code cleanliness, and long‑term maintainability. - Leverage modern AI‑assisted tooling to increase development speed and quality without compromising engineering fundamentals. - Contribute to team discussions, mentorship, and continuous improvement of engineering practices. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement new features and enhancements for core services. - Refactor and optimize existing codebases for performance and scalability. - Develop and maintain database schemas, queries, and data pipelines using SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL. - Participate in system architecture reviews and define technical roadmaps. - Write automated unit, integration, and performance tests; ensure high test coverage. - Collaborate with product, front‑end, and DevOps teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions. - Monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and implement preventive measures. **Required Skills:** - Expert proficiency in C# and .NET ecosystem. - Strong experience with relational databases (SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL). - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and associated services. - Knowledge of Elasticsearch for search/analytics workloads. - Understanding of front‑end integration (e.g., Angular) is a plus. - Proven ability in system design, architecture, and performance tuning. - Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality tools. - Comfortable using AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf) to augment productivity. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, **or** equivalent professional experience. - Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, AWS Certified Developer) are advantageous but not mandatory.
