Job Description

Job title: Senior Software Engineer Role Summary: Lead the development and enhancement of the Serpentine investment reporting platform using Python and Django, while contributing to AWS infrastructure and new software suite initiatives. Expactations: - Demonstrate full product development life‑cycle ownership, from research to deployment. - Deliver well‑architected, scalable solutions that meet business standards. - Work independently and collaboratively across design, front‑end, and client teams. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze requirements and design backend components for Serpentine. - Implement and refactor Python/Django code, ensuring high quality and maintainability. - Deploy and manage services on AWS, including infrastructure automation and monitoring. - Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning. - Champion best practices, documentation, and testing standards. - Own end‑to‑end delivery of key project features. Required Skills: - 5+ years professional experience with Python and Django. - Strong object‑oriented design and architectural thinking. - Familiarity with relational databases and ORMs. - Knowledge of RESTful API design and web security. - Experience deploying on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.). - Proficiency in version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines. - Excellent problem‑solving abilities and logical reasoning. - Effective communication and teamwork. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (strong academic record). - Relevant certifications in Python, Django, or AWS are a plus.
