**Job Title** New Business Development – Logistics **Role Summary** Drive revenue growth for a freight forwarding firm by acquiring new B2B clients, deepening existing relationships, and negotiating complex freight and logistics contracts. The role supports the Montreal office’s expansion and collaborates closely with operations, customer service, and sales teams. **Expectations** - Actively prospect and secure new business opportunities. - Negotiate and close contracts, deliver competitive proposals, and meet sales targets. - Innovate sales strategies, contribute ideas to process improvements. - Maintain continuous learning in air, ocean, ground transport, warehousing, and customs brokerage. **Key Responsibilities** 1. **Sales Strategy Development** – Define and implement client acquisition plans and long‑term relationship frameworks. 2. **Client Relationship Management** – Oversee daily interactions with assigned accounts, ensuring satisfaction and identifying upsell opportunities. 3. **Contract Negotiation** – Prepare quotations, proposals, and negotiate terms to close deals. 4. **Team Collaboration** – Work with operations and customer service to coordinate service delivery and surface new growth areas. 5. **Market Research & Prospecting** – Conduct ongoing market analysis to identify prospective clients and expand services with current customers. **Required Skills** - 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply‑chain services. - Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and close deals. - Strong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills in English and French. - Strategic thinker with data‑driven approach to market research. - Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating cross‑functionally. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) are a plus.
