**Job Title** Full Stack Ruby‑on‑Rails / React Developer **Role Summary** Lead the design, development, and delivery of a project‑management application. Manage a small development team, enforce coding standards, optimize performance, and maintain continuous integration/deployment pipelines. Act as the technical point of contact from design through production, collaborating directly with end users to shape the product roadmap. **Expectations** • Minimum 5 years of professional web‑development experience. • Proven ability to mentor and manage a team, prioritize work, and make decisions independently. • Strong communication, teaching, and stakeholder‑management skills. • Ownership of both backend and frontend quality and performance. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Architect, code, and maintain backend services in Ruby on Rails and frontend components in React/JavaScript. 2. Write and enforce unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests; conduct code reviews. 3. Design and tune MySQL schemas, queries, and indexing for optimal performance. 4. Build and refine CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, including Docker/Docker‑Compose workflows. 5. Deploy releases, monitor production, and investigate incidents. 6. Gather user requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and define roadmap items. 7. Stay current on industry trends, propose architectural improvements, and advocate best practices. **Required Skills** - Advanced Ruby on Rails (or equivalent framework such as Symfony/Django). - React and JavaScript (ES6+), with responsive UI libraries (Bootstrap or similar). - MySQL database design, complex queries, and optimization. - Git, GitLab, CI/CD, Docker, and Docker‑Compose. - Unit/integration testing frameworks for Rails and React. - Experience leading a development team and mentoring junior developers. **Required Education & Certifications** - Completion of a reputable coding bootcamp (Le Wagon, Ironhack) or equivalent practical training. - Certifications or MOOCs in Ruby on Rails (Udemy, Coursera, OpenClassrooms) and software architecture/design patterns. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus but not mandatory if significant experience and certifications are shown.
