Own end‑to‑end service lifecycle, ensuring low latency, scalability, and reliability in a Kubernetes‑based environment. Drive architectural improvements and collaborate closely with data science teams. Expectations: • Deliver production‑ready services with rigorous testing. • Own deployment, monitoring, and scaling strategies. • Maintain strong code quality and documentation. • Advocate for secure, maintainable, and efficient architecture. Key Responsibilities: • Design, build, and optimize backend services in a microservice architecture. • Develop low‑latency RESTful APIs for real‑time decisioning. • Own services from deployment to monitoring and scaling in Kubernetes. • Enhance system reliability, scalability, and security through best practices. • Write comprehensive unit and integration tests. • Participate in architecture discussions and influence technical direction. Required Skills: • 6+ years of backend engineering experience. • 4+ years of Node.js (TypeScript) development. • Strong expertise with a NoSQL document store (e.g., MongoDB, Couchbase). • Proficiency with a streaming/message system (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, etc.). • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs. • Working knowledge of a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure). • Automation testing mindset and familiarity with testing frameworks. • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
