Director General – Portfolio Management and Monitoring Directorate
**Role Summary**
Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Portfolio Management and Monitoring Directorate (PMM). Drive vision, strategy, and policy development to manage the bank’s financial assets, counterparties, and contractual events while ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with regulatory and corporate objectives.
**Expectations**
- Lead a multi‑functional team of ~400 staff across active management, monitoring, event resolution, and restructuring.
- Deliver high‑impact strategic direction that aligns with institutional priorities and regulatory frameworks.
- Maintain proactive, forward‑looking risk & compliance posture and cultivate trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Define and implement the PMM vision, strategic plan, and operational priorities for short, medium, and long terms.
- Develop, review, and enforce policies and procedures governing the bank’s financial assets, counterparty relationships, and event resolution processes.
- Oversee credit assessment, finance contract monitoring, and distressed transaction management to protect the bank’s financial interests.
- Manage the Joint Middle Office: disbursement processing, collateral management, KYC/compliance, and post‑disbursement event monitoring.
- Ensure alignment with First‑Line‑of‑Defense functions and support the European Investment Group’s mission and corporate objectives.
- Report directly to the President, representing PMM in governance bodies and conveying external/internal developments that impact risk profile or strategic direction.
- Allocate resources, structure teams, and empower staff to deliver operational excellence and adherence to best banking practices.

**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional finance or risk qualifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in senior management of portfolio, risk, or banking functions.
