**Job Title:** Junior Quantitative Analyst – Remote
**Role Summary:**
Support the analytics team by developing, testing, and validating quantitative models for trading and risk management, conducting large‑dataset analysis, backtesting strategies, and preparing internal reports and visualizations.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver accurate model validation and performance reports in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate independent analytical work while collaborating effectively with senior analysts, traders, and risk teams.
- Continuously learn and adopt new quantitative techniques to improve model robustness and accuracy.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in designing, testing, and validating quantitative models for trading and risk management.
- Analyze large financial datasets (e.g., price, volume, risk metrics) to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Perform backtests of trading strategies and evaluate performance against benchmarks and risk measures.
- Conduct statistical analyses using Python, R, MATLAB, or equivalent tools.
- Prepare clear reports, dashboards, and visualizations for internal stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of models, assumptions, and analytical processes.
- Monitor model performance post‑deployment and recommend enhancements.
- Collaborate with senior analysts, traders, and risk teams to refine model inputs and outputs.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong foundation in probability, statistics, linear algebra, and financial mathematics.
- Proficiency in Python, R, MATLAB, or equivalent programming languages for data analysis and modeling.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases for data extraction and manipulation.
- Solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a hybrid team environment.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
