Manage end‑to‑end hardware lifecycle, optimize SAN/NAS storage, integrate with hybrid cloud solutions, and maintain industrial‑grade compute assets to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
**Expactations**:
- Architect and manage virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Proxmox, Nutanix, Red Hat OpenShift).
- Own hardware lifecycle: design, capacity planning, deployment, patching, upgrades, decommissioning.
- Oversee SAN/NAS storage architecture, performance tuning, and reliability.
- Support data‑center, edge computing, and end‑user devices.
- Deploy and maintain ruggedized, Class I/II/III, C1D2‑rated systems.
- Troubleshoot multi‑layer infrastructure issues (virtualization, storage, hardware).
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and runbooks.
- Collaborate within a Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework, aligning technical solutions with business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
• Design and deploy virtualized platforms, ensuring seamless hybrid‑cloud integration.
• Plan, procure, and configure industrial compute hardware; manage lifecycle and decommissioning.
• Optimize SAN/NAS storage for throughput, resilience, and scalability.
• Provide on‑site and remote support for datacenter and edge compute assets.
• Automate infrastructure processes using Python, PowerShell, or equivalent scripting.
• Conduct patching, firmware updates, and infrastructure upgrades following change‑management protocols.
• Document architecture, configurations, and procedures in centralized knowledge bases.
• Work cross‑functionally with network, security, and OT teams to meet compliance and certification standards.
**Required Skills**:
- Deep experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter; knowledge of Proxmox, Nutanix, or Red Hat OpenShift.
- Proficiency in SAN/NAS technologies, including RAID, multipathing, and storage performance tuning.
- Strong networking skills: migration, upgrades, security, and troubleshooting.
- Hardware engineering and lifecycle management expertise.

- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex, multi‑layer infrastructure issues.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration proficiency.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent virtualization certification.
- Certifications in storage (e.g., StorNext, EMC, NetApp) and networking (e.g., CCNA/CCNP) preferred.
- Knowledge of OT cybersecurity standards (ISA/IEC 62443, NERC CIP) and, if possible, industrial controls certification.
