Job title: Social Media & Community Growth Manager
Role Summary: Lead the creation, execution, and growth of the global online community for an early cancer detection movement. Drive mission‑centric storytelling across multiple platforms, produce high‑impact short‑form video content, and amplify community engagement through events and digital campaigns.
Expectations:
- Grow and sustain active communities on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
- Translate complex medical content into compelling, human‑centered narratives.
- Increase reach, engagement, and follower growth in line with strategic metrics.
- Represent the organization at events, capturing live moments for real‑time content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day‑to‑day operation of all brand social channels, including content calendar creation and scheduling.
- Shoot, edit, and publish short‑form video (15–60 sec) using Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or equivalent.
- Craft copy and visuals that resonate with clinical, public, and global audiences.
- Analyze community engagement data, report on key metrics, and refine strategy accordingly.
- Build and moderate online groups, forums, or ambassador communities to foster peer interaction.
- Coordinate with leadership on high‑profile campaigns and founder storytelling.
- Attend and film live events, conferences, and summits; produce rapid‑turnover content for immediate posting.
- Stay current on platform algorithms, emerging social trends, and best practices for content optimization.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years managing social media for a brand, organization, or high‑profile individual.
- Proficiency in video production and editing (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, etc.).
- Deep understanding of storytelling formats, trends, and algorithms across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and newer platforms.
- Strong written communication and narrative skills for diverse audiences.
- Experience building, growing, and nurturing online communities.
- Comfortable filming live moments and producing energetic on‑the‑go content.
- Familiarity with scheduling and analytics tools (Later, Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.).
- Creative, curious, and able to work in a fast‑paced, high‑impact environment.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field (preferred).
- Certifications in social media strategy, digital marketing, or video editing are a plus.
