**Job Title:** Email Marketing Strategist
**Role Summary:**
Lead the end‑to‑end planning, execution, and optimization of B2B email marketing programs for a SaaS provider serving higher‑education institutions. Drive engagement, pipeline generation, and customer retention through data‑driven, segmented campaigns aligned with demand generation, product, and sales initiatives.
**Expectations:**
- Design and manage multi‑touch nurture programs that meet pipeline and retention targets.
- Maintain clean, segmented email lists and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Continuously improve performance through testing, analytics, and industry best practices.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Own the full email lifecycle: strategy, segmentation, copy & design coordination, testing, deployment, and reporting.
- Build and execute nurture streams to accelerate prospect movement through the funnel and support expansion efforts.
- Partner with Revenue Operations to manage list hygiene and accurate targeting.
- Monitor key metrics (open rates, CTR, conversions, unsubscribes) and provide actionable insights.
- Conduct A/B tests on subject lines, send times, designs, and content.
- Ensure deliverability, compliance, and proper use of automation/tracking tools.
- Stay updated on email marketing trends and incorporate innovative tactics.
- Collaborate with content, design, demand generation, product, and sales teams to align messaging and visual identity.
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years B2B email marketing experience, preferably SaaS.
- Proven track record of multi‑touch email campaigns delivering measurable results.
- Strong analytical ability; proficient in interpreting campaign data and deriving insights.
- Excellent copywriting and communication tailored to professional/higher‑education audiences.
- Expertise with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, etc.).
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Knowledge of email deliverability, privacy regulations, and best‑practice testing.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., HubSpot Email Marketing, Marketo Certified Expert) are a plus.
