Salesforce Technical Lead
**Role summary**
Lead the design, development, and deployment of Salesforce solutions to meet business requirements across the organization. Drive technical strategy, maintain system integrity, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high‑performance implementations.
**Expectations**
- Provide architectural leadership and technical direction for all Salesforce initiatives.
- Ensure alignment between Salesforce solutions and enterprise business goals.
- Mentor and guide development, integration, and admin teams.
- Champion best practices in coding, data management, security, and governance.
**Key responsibilities**
- Own the end‑to‑end Salesforce technical roadmap and prioritize backlog.
- Design and review Salesforce architecture, data models, custom applications, and integrations with external systems.
- Lead the development of Apex, Lightning components, Visualforce, Flow, and other Salesforce technologies.
- Oversee configuration, security controls (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, encryption).
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and deployment to sandbox, UAT, and production.
- Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, root‑cause analysis, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Evaluate new Salesforce releases/features, assess impact, and plan adoption.
- Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations for third‑party integrations.
- Provide technical escalation support and knowledge transfer.
**Required skills**
- Proficient in Salesforce platform: Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, Process Builder, Visualforce, and Data Loader.
- Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, middleware integration patterns, and data migration.
- Experience with Salesforce DX, Sandboxes, Change Set, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of security model: Profiles, Permission Sets, OOB Administrative features, Shield Platform Encryption.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to read and write technical documentation.
**Required education & certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) preferred; at minimum Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II, Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, and/or Salesforce Certified Integration Architecture Designer.
