**Job Title:** Head of Modern Workplace and Applications
**Role Summary:**
Lead the Modern Workplace & Applications team and IT Adoption & Training team to deliver a unified, persona‑driven end‑user computing environment. Own the Microsoft 365 estate, Azure AVD, Power Platform, and related tools, driving innovation, adoption, and operational excellence in alignment with corporate strategy.
**Expectations:**
- Design and execute a strategic roadmap for modern workplace technology.
- Demonstrate high‑level technical authority and governance of EUC platforms.
- Build and mentor a high‑performing team delivering reliable, secure, and productive solutions.
- Deliver measurable improvements in colleague experience, adoption, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Serve as technical authority for M365, Azure AVD, Power Platform, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Intune, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Define and standardise end‑user hardware and software, driving zero‑touch provisioning and full lifecycle management.
- Own software packaging, patching, distribution, and third‑party application support.
- Develop IT adoption, training, and engagement frameworks to maximise M365 utilisation.
- Ensure robust governance, security, reliability, and compliance across all EUC platforms.
- Lead product ownership culture: offer direction, training, and support to stakeholders.
- Enforce rigorous testing, QA, and release processes for devices and software.
- Deliver strategic leadership: roadmap development, resource planning, budget oversight, and stakeholder reporting.
- Manage project delivery using a structured framework (ITIL, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to meet scope, time, and cost targets.
- Create and maintain processes, knowledge bases, metrics, and documentation to support operational excellence and regulatory requirements.
- Foster collaboration with legal, finance, HR, and external vendors to meet business and compliance needs.
- Champion continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong leadership and team‑building capability.
- Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD/AVD, Intune, Power Platform, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange.
- Expertise in device provisioning, endpoint management, software packaging, patching, and distribution.
- Proven experience in IT adoption, change management, and training frameworks.
- Governance, risk management, and compliance knowledge (GDPR, ISO, SOX).
- Project management skills: scope, schedule, budget, stakeholder communication.
- Analytical mindset with reporting, metrics, and data‑driven decision making.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, ITIL, or equivalent quality improvement methodologies.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or higher (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 preferred.
