Job Description
Job title: Brand & Events Intern Role Summary: Assist the Marketing & Communications team by creating brand-consistent content for social media, blogs, and newsletters, while supporting the planning and execution of key events and campaigns. Contribute to brand perception monitoring and event logistics, and collaborate across the intern cohort on social impact campaign development. Expectations: - Work exclusively remote with a willingness to align with East Coast hours. - Demonstrate strong time‑management, meet deadlines, and maintain high quality across multiple projects. - Actively participate in brainstorming, research, and cross‑functional collaboration. - Serve as the lead for the intern group project on a campaign proposal. Key Responsibilities: **Brand‑Focused Tasks** - Draft and edit copy for Ad Council social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn). - Maintain and update the editorial calendar; produce and proofread blog posts. - Monitor digital brand perception, track conversations, and identify engagement opportunities. - Contribute to strategy sessions by researching industry trends and fresh ideas. - Provide social support for major events such as Cannes Lions. **Event‑Focused Tasks** - Create and manage Google Forms for RSVPs; track attendance. - Assist with hotel blocks and venue logistics for staff and private dining events. - Coordinate accessibility and green initiatives for all events. - Research NYC private dining rooms, board meeting venues, and venues for future events. - Identify and evaluate vendors for event and food experiences. **Intern‑Team Collaboration** - Lead brand and event responsibilities for the cohort’s campaign proposal. - Work with peer interns across the program to research, develop, and present a new social‑impact campaign. Required Skills: - Proficient in social media platforms and current digital trends. - Excellent writing and editing abilities; adaptable tone across media. - Sharp editorial judgment and meticulous proofreading. - Strong organizational skills, detail‑orientation, and concurrent task management. - Experience supporting event logistics (RSVPs, venue research, vendor coordination). - Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and collaborative teamwork. Required Education & Certifications: - Currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field. - No specific certifications required.
