Job Description

Job title: Junior Software Engineer Role Summary: Build and extend trading execution platform for a fintech broker‑dealer. Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, deliver new functionality, and troubleshoot production issues while maintaining high system uptime. Elevate code quality and engineering practices within a small, agile team. Expectations: - 1+ year client‑facing experience, preferably in financial trading systems - 2+ years of C++ (C++11+) development - Proficiency with Python, Linux, and CI/CD pipelines - Strong communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills - Self‑starter attitude, ability to work remotely then transition to hybrid office Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and roll out execution logic for new clients and markets - Add enhancements to compliance reporting, billing, and supporting infrastructure - Respond to client inquiries, diagnose and resolve production issues, perform regular system checks - Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to improve platform quality and development workflow - Assist business development discussions, articulate technical capabilities, and propose solutions to prospective clients Required Skills: - C++ (C++11 or newer) programming - Python scripting and Linux system proficiency - Unit testing (e.g., GoogleTest) and CI/CD pipeline experience - Knowledge of financial market protocols (FIX) – preferred - Familiarity with SQL (PostgreSQL) and cloud services (Azure) – advantageous - Experience with middleware (AERON), system administration, or data visualization (Tableau) Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)  ---
