Job Description
**Job Title:** Procurement Manager **Role Summary** Lead end‑to‑end procurement strategy for manufacturing materials, components, resins, tooling, and services. Drive cost reduction, supplier performance, and supply continuity in a regulated, fast‑paced manufacturing environment. **Expectations** - Deliver measurable cost and working‑capital improvements. - Maintain quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance. - Act as a trusted partner to manufacturing, engineering, quality, planning, and finance teams. **Key Responsibilities** - Own procurement strategies for key categories; execute supplier negotiations on pricing, lead times, payment terms, and contracts. - Achieve year‑over‑year cost‑reduction and TCO improvements. - Analyze spend, pricing trends, and supplier cost structures to uncover savings and alternative sourcing options. - Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships; proactively mitigate supply‑chain risks (capacity, single sourcing, geopolitical exposure, financial health). - Lead supplier performance management (scorecards, corrective actions, development initiatives). - Manage full purchase‑order lifecycle, aligning with MRP signals, production schedules, and NPI timelines. - Oversee spot buys and exception management; support just‑in‑time inventory and minimize excess. - Resolve invoice discrepancies with finance and accounts payable. - Partner on NPI, ECOs, supplier qualification, make‑buy decisions, and RFQs/RFPs for new materials and services. - Build and maintain procurement dashboards and reports on spend, performance, inventory, and compliance. - Drive continuous improvement across sourcing, supplier management, inventory, and procurement processes. - Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and other regulatory requirements. **Required Skills** - 5–8 years of progressive procurement or strategic sourcing in manufacturing. - Proven negotiation of supplier agreements and cost‑reduction achievements. - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent communication, stakeholder‑management, and influence skills. - Confidence in leading difficult commercial conversations with suppliers. - Knowledge of manufacturing supply chains, inventory principles, and MRP‑driven procurement. - Experience in regulated or quality‑driven environments (medical device, dental, ISO, GMP). **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Certifications in procurement or supply‑chain development preferred (e.g., CPSM, APICS CSCP).
