Job Description
**Job title** Cybersecurity Information System Security Officer (ISSO) **Role Summary** Serve as an expert on the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), leading the protection of system confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Manage the full RMF life cycle—including authorization, sustainment, and disposition—while coordinating with configuration managers, Certified Defense Contractors, SCAs, and AODRs. Advise senior leadership and support audits to ensure compliance with security policies. **Expectations** Maintain an active Top Secret with SCI clearance and a willingness for CI polygraph. Demonstrate 10+ years of DoD experience, 4+ years in SAP/SCI environments, and a proactive, independent work style. Communicate complex security concepts clearly to diverse audiences. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead RMF implementation, authorization, and continuous monitoring. - Conduct vulnerability scanning, change management, account management, and auditing. - Provide security guidance for system and network configurations. - Advise civilian and military stakeholders on security posture. - Support program management and attend industry/government visits as required. - Translate technical security information for senior leadership. - Identify and mitigate risks before operational impact. **Required Skills** - Deep knowledge of DoD RMF, Cyber Engineering, and IT security controls. - Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication. - Critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. - Ability to work independently and drive process improvements. **Required Education & Certifications** - Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, MIS, Engineering, or equivalent. - Minimum of 1 year RMF experience with DoD 8140 / 8570 IASAE Level II certification. - Preferable SPēD Certification Program.
