Job Description
Job title: QA Automation Engineer (Hybrid) Role Summary: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test suites for web UI, RESTful APIs, and performance scenarios. Manage test execution within CI/CD pipelines, monitor application behavior in cloud environments, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality across production releases. Expectations: - Minimum 9 years overall software development experience. - 5 years UI automation (Selenium WebDriver) and 5 years API testing (REST). - 3 years performance testing (Apache JMeter). - 2 years cloud (AWS) development/production exposure. - 3+ years coding in Java or C# (Python scripting a plus). - Proficient with SQL and NoSQL databases. - Experience in CI/CD environments; knowledge of AWS services, monitoring tools, and AI/ML application testing is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and implement comprehensive UI automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver. - Develop and maintain API test suites for RESTful services, including negative and boundary test cases. - Execute performance and load tests with Apache JMeter and analyze throughput, latency, and error rates. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) and ensure reliable test execution across environments. - Monitor application performance and reliability using tools such as New Relic, Datadog, or CloudWatch; investigate and document incidents. - Collaborate with developers, product owners, and operations to troubleshoot defects, refine test coverage, and optimize test pipelines. - Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, case libraries, and defect reports. - Evaluate and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and toolchains, including AI/ML‑powered application validation. Required Skills: - Selenium WebDriver (Java/C#). - REST API testing (Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent). - Performance testing with Apache JMeter. - Strong programming in Java or C#; Python scripting if applicable. - SQL and NoSQL database interaction. - AWS services familiarity (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch). - CI/CD pipeline design and management. - Version control (Git). - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Selenium Certification) are a plus but not mandatory.
