About the Company

Southwold opened in April 1995 as a new, purpose-built primary school serving the Southwold community and Caversfield parish. In 2001, to accommodate growing numbers, the school was extended with a further seven classrooms and a nursery. The school offers spacious, modern accommodation for up to 400 pupils, as well as a range of exceptional facilities, including:

— A well-resourced and networked ICT suite.
— Interactive whiteboards in classrooms.
— A large hall with modern gym equipment.

The standard of our internal facilities is matched by the quality of our wonderful external environment. Our surrounding gardens include:

— A 'quiet garden'.
— A running area.
— Large planting beds.
— Large play equipment
— A 12-metre 'geology wall' featuring different types of building materials and brick patterns.

Pupils at the school enjoy lessons designed and delivered around an enhanced curriculum that places emphasis on excellence and enjoyment. The school council offers them a strong voice and the opportunity to have their say on school matters. An extensive range of after-school clubs are available, while wonderful opportunities to develop skills and confidence is provided through regular residential trips.
