Job Description
**Job Title** Software Engineer **Role Summary** Design, implement, and maintain backend systems and APIs for a real‑time voice AI platform that serves Fortune 500 financial institutions. Work on telephony integration, orchestration of voice services, and scalable, low‑latency infrastructure. **Expectations** - 3+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in a Series A‑stage startup. - Proven track record of refactoring legacy systems into scalable architectures. - Ownership of end‑to‑end feature delivery, from design through production. - Comfortable shipping code daily to high‑volume production systems. **Key Responsibilities** - Build core product features (APIs, backend services, voice infrastructure). - Implement and maintain telephony integrations (SIP, WebRTC, Twilio, etc.). - Design scalable, event‑driven architectures that handle millions of transactions daily. - Optimize PostgreSQL at scale and manage connection pooling, replication, and query tuning. - Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes and AWS (SQS, ECS, RDS). - Ensure compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or other fintech security standards. - Integrate AI/ML components (LLMs, voice recognition) into production pipelines. - Collaborate with product and design teams to identify high‑impact user wins. **Required Skills** - Backend fundamentals (Python or TypeScript). - Experience with legacy system refactoring and sustainable architecture. - High‑throughput distributed systems (message queues, event streams). - PostgreSQL at scale. - Kubernetes production deployments and stateful service scaling. - Real‑time data pipelines (Kafka, ClickHouse, etc.). - AWS services (SQS, ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda). - Telephony/voice infrastructure (SIP, SRTP, WebRTC). - Compliance‑conscious development (SOC 2, ISO 27001). - AI/ML integration in production (LLMs, voice AI). - Familiarity with contact center/dialer systems. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or similar are a plus.
