Job Description
**Job Title** Java Developer **Role Summary** Design, develop, test, and support Java-based components of CGC’s eCMS construction‑management platform. Work collaboratively with analysts, QA, and business intelligence teams to deliver high‑quality, web‑enabled applications on time. **Expectations** - Deliver functional code in iterative cycles. - Seek and clarify business requirements for optimal design. - Mentor peers and propose process improvements. - Maintain clear communication with stakeholders at all levels. **Key Responsibilities** - Translate product design into robust Java/J2EE code (JSF/JSP, JDBC, JNDI, JavaWS). - Develop, debug, and test SQL stored procedures/triggers on MSSQL and DB2 databases. - Deploy and maintain applications on WebSphere and IIS servers. - Collaborate with analysts, developers, and QA to identify defects, propose fixes, and verify resolutions. - Participate in project estimation, scheduling, and decision analysis. - Continuously assess and recommend improvements to software development practices. **Required Skills** - Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, JSF/JSP, JDBC, JNDI, and JavaWS. - Experience with SQL, writing complex stored procedures and triggers. - Familiarity with MSSQL, DB2, WebSphere, and IIS. - Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, and general web technologies. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and mentor junior staff. **Required Education & Certifications** - College degree or certification in Computer Science or a related software‑development field. - Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience in application design, development, and programming. ---
