Job Description
**Job title:** Supervisor **Role Summary** Oversee and deliver the Lead Pipe Replacement programme on Thames Water's supply network, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all activities. Lead a multidisciplinary team, manage subcontractors, and maintain zero‑harm culture while meeting project quality, cost, schedule, and environmental standards. **Expectations** * Champion a zero‑harm safety culture. * Deliver projects on time, on budget and to specification. * Maintain high standards of quality control and regulatory compliance. * Act as the primary point of contact for customers, the public and internal stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Plan and supervise the installation of lead pipe replacement, coordinating labour, plant and materials. 2. Prepare and enforce RAMS, T&IPs, operative briefings, toolbox talks, and temporary works documents. 3. Write and manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and control permits. 4. Conduct site inductions, health & safety toolbox talks and staff coaching. 5. Coordinate document control, compliance checks, and design management. 6. Monitor project cost, value, and schedule, making necessary adjustments. 7. Manage specialist subcontractors and client/customer relationships during works. 8. Close out audit actions, participate in investigations, and drive continual improvement activities. **Required Skills** * Proven water infrastructure experience (lead pipe replacement or similar). * Strong cost, value and schedule management skills. * Comprehensive understanding of water quality and hygiene standards. * Excellent leadership, team‑building, and stakeholder‑management abilities. * Proficiency in drafting and interpreting RAMS, T&IPs, and other site‑control documents. * Sound knowledge of health & safety regulations, and ability to conduct toolbox talks and inductions. * Effective communication and problem‑solving skills. **Required Education & Certifications** * SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and/or IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) qualification. * Additional recognized safety certification (e.g., EOC, NEBOSH) acceptable. * Engineering, construction, or civil‑engineering related qualification preferred but not mandatory.
