Job Title: Network Analyst
Role Summary:
Provide end-to-end network support for a large public‑sector client, managing infrastructure upgrades, wireless deployments, and cloud migration initiatives. Deliver proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and documentation to ensure optimal network performance and security.
Expectations:
• Maintain network availability and performance in alignment with SLA targets.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to implement and troubleshoot hardware and software solutions.
• Document configurations, changes, and incident resolutions in a clear, auditable manner.
• Proactively assess network health, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and configure network hardware, software, and security appliances (firewalls, WLCs, DAS).
• Run fiber optic and cable installations, including patch panels and cabling standards.
• Operate protocol analyzers, capture and analyze traffic, and use monitoring tools (SolarWinds, OpManager, Splunk).
• Resolve network incidents with vendors, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of network components, inventory, and maintenance logs.
• Program network applications for monitoring, reporting, and automated alerting.
• Participate in wireless surveys, WAP placement planning, and DAS evaluations.
• Support cloud‑based network solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Contribute to security compliance using NIST/CIS frameworks and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
Required Skills:
• Network protocols, routing, switching, firewall configuration.
• Monitoring tools (SolarWinds, OpManager, Splunk).
• Cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Ticketing systems (ServiceNow).
• Strong problem‑solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant technical experience (10 years for non‑degree holders).
• Industry certifications such as CCNP, AWS Cloud Practitioner, F5 201/301, or equivalent.
