Job Description
Job Title: Graduate/PhD Research Intern, Machine Learning Role Summary: Conduct research and develop machine‑learning solutions for forecasting, anomaly detection, and risk prediction in satellite network operations. Transform research concepts into experimental prototypes that inform product strategy. Expectations: - Graduate or PhD student (MS/PhD level) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Aerospace, or related field. - Deliver end‑to‑end projects: scoping, implementation, testing, and documentation. - Communicate results clearly through technical reports and presentations. Key Responsibilities: - Design and execute ML experiments on time‑series, probabilistic, and simulation‑guided models for network forecasting and anomaly/risk prediction. - Enhance feature engineering, data set quality, and evaluation pipelines. - Build end‑to‑end reproducible research workflows (data preprocessing, training, validation, model comparison). - Maintain experiment tracking and version control practices. - Write concise technical reports and present findings to interdisciplinary teams. Required Skills: - Strong programming in C++, Python, or Rust with experience in scientific/ML libraries. - Solid understanding of time‑series analysis, probabilistic modeling, and simulation methods. - Ability to design experiments, evaluate models, and iterate on feature and data pipelines. - Proficient in version control (Git) and experiment tracking tools. - Excellent written and verbal communication; teamwork orientation. Required Education & Certifications: - Enrolled in an MS or PhD program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related discipline. Nice to Have (not mandatory): - Experience with cloud infrastructure, APIs, or large‑scale data systems. - Familiarity with telecom, geospatial, or space‑tech domain knowledge.
