Job Description
Job title: Activity Security Representative III Role Summary: Provides multi‑disciplined security support for Air Force Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) facilities, ensuring compliance with Top Secret/SCI standards through daily classification management, document control, access control, and security awareness activities. Expectations: Maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance, adhere to all customer SOPs, perform accurate documentation and accountability for classified materials, manage visitor and personnel security processes, conduct inspections and audits, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with Air Force security personnel to facilitate SAP compliance. Key Responsibilities: • Review inbound/outbound correspondence for classification and declassification. • Maintain document accountability database and logs for classified mail, magnetic media, and reproduction support. • Process, destroy, and track classified materials and media. • Manage electronic data transfers and maintain customer databases. • Escort visitors, maintain visit logs, and issue access badges. • Conduct entry/exit inspections and maintain facility access control systems. • Perform personnel security file maintenance and update AFADS database. • Follow and enforce SOPs; support security awareness and education programs. • Review, track, and process clearance actions; coordinate with government personnel. • Participate in Air Force SAP compliance inspections; conduct DCII, DISS, SAPNP reviews. • Execute SAP Nomination Process Questionnaires and Program Access Request reviews. • Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for team members. Required Skills: • In‑depth knowledge of SAP, SCI, and Top Secret classification procedures. • Proficient in classified mail handling, document control, and database management. • Experience with AFADS, DCII, DISS, and SAPNP systems. • Strong organizational, analytical, and attention‑to‑detail abilities. • Effective communication, training, and mentorship skills. • Ability to enforce SOPs, conduct inspections, and manage security clearance processing. Required Education & Certifications: • Minimum 5–7 years of related security experience (SFPC, SPSC, SPED certifications count toward experience). • Minimum 2 years of SAP experience; prior U.S. Air Force active duty is a plus. • Desired: Bachelor’s degree (counts as four years of experience); Associate’s degree in a related field counts as two years. • Current Top Secret/SCI clearance, consent for Counterintelligence polygraph, and SAP eligibility.
