Job Description: Job Title: Data Scientist Engineer Role Summary Design, build, and maintain high‑performance data infrastructure and scalable ETL pipelines for financial market and trading data, enabling quantitative research and trading systems. Expectations * Deliver reliable, low‑latency data pipelines that ingest, clean, and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured market data. * Optimize data workflows, query performance, and system scalability in distributed or cloud environments. * Implement automated validation, monitoring, and alerting to ensure data quality and availability. * Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, trading teams, and infrastructure engineers to support data‑driven strategy development. Key Responsibilities * Architect and develop end‑to‑end ETL pipelines for financial market, order book, and alternative data sources. * Build and maintain data models, storage solutions, and processing frameworks (Python, SQL, distributed tools). * Optimize and tune queries, data flows, and infrastructure for high throughput and low latency. * Create automated data validation, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms. * Work with engineering and infrastructure teams to enhance pipeline reliability and scalability. * Provide technical guidance and support to quantitative research teams. Required Skills * 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data science engineering, or similar roles. * Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and analytics. * Advanced SQL skills with large‑scale dataset experience. * Design and production‑grade ETL pipeline development. * Experience with distributed/cloud data systems (e.g., Spark, Airflow, Kafka). * Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, and pipeline orchestration. * Familiarity with Linux-based environments. * Experience working with financial market data and trading systems is preferred. Required Education & Certifications * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field.
