Job Description
**Job Title:** Engineering Manager (Manufacturing) **Role Summary:** Lead and manage the engineering team in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Develop and execute engineering strategies, oversee operational implementation, drive continuous improvement, and support capital investment projects to meet business growth objectives. **Expectations:** - Deliver engineering initiatives aligned with company KPIs and growth plans. - Maintain high organizational control of internal and external engineering resources. - Ensure full compliance with EHS regulations and company policies. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high employee engagement. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement engineering strategies, objectives, and systems. - Plan, organize, and direct engineering operations to achieve strategic goals. - Set departmental goals and align them with company KPIs. - Manage engineering resources for 24/7 production, coordinating with other departments. - Lead capital investment projects from planning to successful completion. - Coach, mentor, and conduct performance appraisals for team members. - Coordinate individual development programs and training. - Engage employees in continuous improvement initiatives. - Represent the business in supplier negotiations and external discussions. - Ensure compliance with EHS laws, policies, and procedures. - Apply Lean/Kaizen principles to optimize processes and reduce waste. **Required Skills:** - Proven line management experience in fast‑paced manufacturing. - Strong people management, leadership, and mentoring abilities. - Technical engineering background with excellent problem‑solving skills. - Analytic mindset and proficiency in process management. - Advanced communication and business presentation skills. - Proficiency in MS Office and business systems. - Basic understanding of Lean and/or Kaizen methodologies. - Organizational and administrative competence. - Ability to negotiate with suppliers and external partners. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Engineering degree (BEng/MEng) or minimum HND in an engineering discipline. - Relevant certifications in Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement preferred but not mandatory.
